ALMADEN CABANA CLUB POOL RENTAL RULES


 

** Cabana Club Rental Rules and Fee Schedule **

  1. A member in good standing must sponsor the party. The member must be present at all times during rental. It is agreed and understood that the sponsoring member will be responsible for any damages sustained to the club by him/herself, or his/her guests, employees, or contractors (caterers, entertainment, etc.). The sponsoring member agrees to hold the Almaden Cabana Club harmless in the event of any injury to the member, guest, employee, or contractor which may occur as a consequence of the rental.
  2. Hours available for pool rental are 12:00pm-11:00pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and 12:00pm-10:00pm all remaining days, or by special arrangement with the Board of Directors. Music or any loud noise must cease by 10:00pm. Music must be no louder than "radio" volume. Please note that Swim team and other club activities will take precedence over parties.
  3. A representative of the club lifeguard staff must be present at all times during the party. If there is swimming, the number of guards required would be determined by the club manager ( the rule of thumb is 1 lifeguard per 25 persons attending, with a minimum of three lifeguards). The use of personal lifeguards is prohibited.
  4. In order to be fair to all members, we limit both impromptu and reserved parties to a total 5 hours including set-up and clean-up.
  5. If refundable deposit is required, this check will be held and returned if the provisions of this agreement are met. A representative of the club will inspect the grounds before and after the party. The Cabana Club and outside grounds must be returned to the condition in which you found them by 11:00 AM the day following the party. If additional clean up or maintenance is required, a charge will be deducted from your deposit. If there are any complaints about noise, or if the sponsoring member is not present, your deposit may be forfeited.
  6. As required by these rules, the rental fee, lifeguard fee, and cleaning/security deposit are to be paid at time of application in the form of two separate checks (one for rental and lifeguards, and one for cleaning/security deposit). A party cannot be booked or the date held without both checks attached to the completed application.
  7. Alcoholic beverages are permitted. Under no circumstances may a minor be served or allowed to consume alcoholic beverages on Club property. Intoxicated persons shall not be admitted to, nor permitted to remain on Club property.
  8. Beverages in glass containers must be transferred to plastic cups prior to consumption and such transfer must take place at least 10 feet from any pool.
  9. The lifeguard staff has the final authority to close the pool to further swimming if in his/her judgment he/she thinks the safety of the attendees or the facility is compromised.
  10. We require the following number of adult chaperones be present at all times during children's parties:
    • Children between age 0 and 12 - 2 adults for every 15 children
    • Children between ages 13 to 18 - 1 adult for every 15 children
    • This is in addition to the lifeguards on duty .
  11. All applicable pool rules must be observed at all times.
  12. The maximum number of party attendees is 150
  13. Types of parties:
    • Impromptu Parties – Impromptu Parties are gatherings at the pool within standard hours. These parties may make use of all club facilities which have not been reserved or placed “off limits” by the lifeguard staff. Non-members must register with the lifeguard staff, pay a guest fee and must be in the company of a club member.
    • Reserved Parties – Reserved Parties are gatherings at the pool within standard hours for which arrangements have been made to reserve certain facilities. There are currently two such areas: the covered area nearest to the parking lot (area #1) and the covered area adjacent to the diving pool (area #2).

      In addition to exclusive use of these areas, the party may make use of a reasonable number of tables, chairs, umbrellas and other such items belonging to the club. Issues involving what constitutes “a reasonable number” will be arbitrated by the lifeguard staff, which will be prejudiced in favor of individual members and Impromptu Parties.

    • Extended Hours Parties – Extended Hours Parties are those which are held outside of standard pool hours. For purposes of fees and use of club furnishings, Extended Hours Parties which begin as Reserved Parties will be treated as two separate events.
